It’s becoming more apparent day by day that sponsored ads are becoming the way to go when advertising online, especially with social media. A perfect example is Facebook doing away with organic reach for various reasons.
So as organic reach continues to decline, marketers are forced to turn elsewhere to get their ads in front of the right eyes. Thankfully, there are paid ad opportunities, whether it’s on Twitter, Facebook or other social media platforms.
I recommend using Facebook. It’s a well-established social platform with the biggest audience, and their paid ads are a nicely polished product. The best part is, it really doesn’t cost much to start seeing results with your ads. The minimum spend is only a dollar, and you’d be surprised how many people you can reach on a dollar.
Think about how much you spend to put an advertisement in a newspaper. Maybe it costs you $30. Your ad goes up and that’s that. You have no idea who saw it or even if the right people are seeing it. You can’t track the results and have absolutely no clue who it’s targeting.
Now take Facebook. Let’s you say pay $5 to run an ad for 2 days, so $2.50 a day. You can target a specific audience based on location and interests. Once your ad is finished running, you can see all types of analytics on who looked at your ads and how many people clicked on them. And you get all of this with a very affordable price tag.
Facebook ads come with the lowest cost per impression in history, averaging $0.25 per 1,000 impressions. A bit lower than advertising elsewhere. So take the example of spending $5 for 2 days. If you’re doing the math correctly, that means on average you will get your ad in front of 20,000 people for only $5, and not just anybody, but people who have shown interest in your product or service.
I don’t know about you, but paying a little extra coin on some Facebook ads seems like a win-win situation. So next time you’re trying to promote an event, sell a new product or simply raise some brand awareness, consider putting together some nice ads and backing it up with some money. Again, it doesn’t have to be much to see great results.
